Decent Little Board

Decent little board. LOVE the Q-Flash Plus feature. The first board I bought had this feature. Was able to update bios (F14) to allow for the Ryzen 5700G CPU to be installed. Updating a bare board with just PSU attached is genius. Overall, the board has met my expectations for an entry-level low-cost board.

 

False Advertisement

Their website specifically says compatible with the Ryzen 5 5600g. It is ONLY if you update the bios. Unfortunately, you need to turn on the computer to do that. Unfortunately, to turn on the computer you need a processor. So now I'm left with a motherboard that I can't update and a CPU that could be compatible but I have no way of doing that. Major scam!

EDIT: Someone voted this as helpful, but its not. I updated the bios by flashing it with the updated firmware on the gigabytes website. I'm using it with the 5600g. I was ignorant and emotional! Great board for the price I paid, like 45 bucks on sale. Has NvME. Has worked fine since I bought it. Would've been great if it had 1 more PCI port and maybe an extra fan. It doesn't have Bluetooth built into it but these are no biggie. It's a small board, and more for workstations, etc. Totally can be used for a strong gaming PC though! Upped to 4 stars.
